How is this calculated?

Level 1: Build a foundation and set ambitions

Haikure is committed to reducing the impact of products through the environmental policy of its owned garment supplier C&S Com SrL. This commitment includes specific impact areas for denim (e.g., water, energy, chemicals). Haikure also maintains systems to track and record third party chain of custody certificates, to confirm its sustainable material claims. There is room to further develop a strategy for delivering its commitments which covers both sustainable fibres and wet processing and to implement policies and communicate its requirements to its supplier. These activities have resulted in a level 1 score of 49% .

Level 2: Make steady progress

Haikure integrates more sustainable materials into 60.8% of its, 32.8% of which is organic cotton. Haikure also used small amounts of Better Cotton, recycled cotton, Tencel and linen. However, Haikure is yet to demonstrate what intermediate processing techniques are used in it products. Furthermore, there is scope for Haikure to set targets for developing sustainable materials and to formally assign responsibility for meeting these targets to senior management and to support internal teams to use more sustainable fibres and/or processes. These activities have resulted in a score of 20% at level 2.

Level 3: Adopt best practice

Haikure scored on one requirement in level 3. As 60.8% of its total collection uses sustainable materials, a score of 11% was awarded at level 3. Haikure did not submit evidence for any other requirements at this level.
